ADULT Group Volunteer Experience
If your workplace, organization, or group of friends supports animals in need, give your peers a meaningful experience to remember by booking a Frosted Face Group Volunteer Experience! Email the Volunteer Coordinators to book this experience between 9:00am and 3:00pm any weekday (Monday-Friday) at the group’s convenience. Group hikes should be scheduled for 8:00am during hot summer months to avoid midday heat.
1. We will give you a hands on tour of FFF to meet the Frosted Faces and learn what we do and how you can help!
2. We will meet you at one of our local hiking trails with the van of Frosted Faces to take on a hike! We will provide the water, leashes, poop bags, and strollers if needed.
3. The van of Frosted Faces will meet you at a partnering winery or restaurant to enjoy some quality time with our Frosted Faces. Partnering wineries and restaurants may even discount their products as thanks for your support! We will provide treats, water bowls, and blankets to lay on for the Frosted Faces.
We hope to send you home with a newfound appreciation for our work as well as senior dogs, to act as advocates for the mission back in the big bad world!
Youth GROUP Volunteer Experience
Scouts, school classes, youth groups, and birthday parties are invited to come to FFF to learn about our initiative to advocate for senior animals! We can host these experiences for any 2 hour duration on Monday-Friday between 10:00am-3:00pm and Saturdays between 1:00pm-3:00pm at the group’s convenience. Email the Volunteer Coordinators to book this experience!
1. We will give a hands on tour of FFF to meet the Frosted Faces and learn what we do and how you can help!
2. Each group will participate in an age appropriate activity discussing the need and benefits of senior pet adoption, and advocating for our current residents. We provide the materials.
3. We will spend time walking dogs in a controlled environment. We can also accommodate offsite experiences (hikes) for youth groups.
4. Enrichment activities for the day will be prepared by the group! Older youth groups may participate in shelter chores and pre-planned projects, to meet class requirements.
5. We will take time to discuss accommodations that families make for their seniors from putting on diapers, to making soft food, along with using booties and strollers!
We hope to inspire kindness, compassion, and awareness upon youth by putting their love for animals into action and advocacy!
Note: youth groups must include a sufficient number of adult chaperones.
