SENIORS FOR SENIORS
Our Seniors for Seniors program is designed to bring comfort, purpose, and companionship to people 65 years and older.
We understand that adopting a pet later in life can come with unique challenges, and our goal is to reduce or eliminate barriers that prevent seniors from experiencing the joy of pet companionship. With the support of a dedicated volunteer network, we’re able to offer guidance and assistance when needed.
We thoughtfully match each Frosted Face and adopter based on many factors, including the level of care a pet may require and the adopter’s ability to provide that care. It’s important to note that our program cannot accommodate all seniors. To ensure the health and well-being of our Frosted Faces, adopters in this program must be able to:
Feed and provide fresh water daily
Take the pet outside for regular bathroom breaks
Provide suitable physical activity and social time for the pet each day
Administer medications and attend veterinary appointments as needed
While volunteers may assist with errands, transportation, or occasional support, the day-to-day care and responsibility for the Frosted Face must remain with the senior adopter. Our hope is to empower seniors to successfully and independently enjoy the love of a companion animal, with a caring community ready to lend a hand when needed.
