What You’ll Do:
-Perform dental cleanings, extractions, and surgical dental procedures for senior pets
-Partner with the veterinary team on anesthesia, monitoring, and patient care
-Maintain accurate, adoption-friendly medical records
-Support instrument maintenance, sterilization, and clinic flow for dental procedures
-Contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment with staff, volunteers, and families
Who You Are:
-A licensed RVT with experience or strong interest in dental procedures
-Skilled in anesthesia, patient handling, phlebotomy, IV catheter placement, and radiography
-Calm, flexible, and positive in fast-paced or challenging cases
-Team-oriented, proactive, and solutions-focused
-Passionate about improving the health and quality of life for senior pets

Veterinary Practice Manager, RVT
Location: Frosted Faces Foundation Veterinary Center
Schedule: 4 weekly 10-hour shifts, no weekends or holidays
Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
Job description:
Frosted Faces Foundation is seeking an experienced RVT and veterinary hospital leader to manage the day-to-day operations of our busy nonprofit Veterinary Center.
This is a hands-on management position responsible for staffing, scheduling, workflow, inventory, purchasing, efficiency, team performance, and workplace culture, while also remaining actively involved in patient care.
The ideal candidate is highly proficient in veterinary dentistry and dental surgery and will serve as a clinical resource to the veterinary team, helping FFF efficiently provide high-quality dental care to senior pets.
The Practice Manager works closely with the Chief Veterinary Officer. The CVO establishes medical standards and protocols, while the Practice Manager ensures those standards are implemented consistently, efficiently, and effectively.
Hospital Operations & Staff Leadership
-Oversee daily hospital operations, staffing, scheduling, patient flow, and workflow.
-Supervise, train, and hold veterinary staff accountable for performance.
-Build a positive, collaborative, and accountable workplace culture.
-Address communication, performance, and interpersonal issues promptly and constructively.
-Ensure staff understand expectations and have the tools and support needed to succeed.
-Identify and solve operational bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
-Ensure RVTs and technicians are working at the top of their appropriate scope.
-Maintain a well-organized, appropriately stocked, and efficient hospital.
Dentistry & Clinical Support
-Participate directly in dental procedures and surgery.
-Demonstrate strong proficiency in dental radiography, charting, anesthesia, scaling/polishing, nerve blocks, and dental extractions within legal scope.
-Train and mentor veterinary staff in dental procedures and workflows.
-Help maximize FFF's dental surgery capacity while maintaining patient safety and quality of care.
Inventory, Purchasing & Efficiency
-Manage medical and dental inventory, par levels, purchasing, and equipment.
-Reduce waste, expired supplies, shortages, and unnecessary spending.
-Monitor hospital capacity and operational metrics.
-Develop and implement practical systems that allow FFF to care for more senior pets with available resources.
Qualifications
-Current California RVT license.
-3–5+ years of veterinary experience.
-Previous supervisory or veterinary hospital management experience preferred.
-Strong veterinary dentistry and advanced dental procedure experience required.
-Proficiency with dental radiography and anesthetic monitoring.
-Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
-Comfortable managing staff, addressing performance issues, and having difficult conversations.
-Shelter medicine, nonprofit, or high-volume veterinary experience is a plus.
